I made up for this full night’s sleep by having wicked insomnia the following night. As y’do.
Hi Elle–I’ve just discovered your work via an inkoutbreak ad on some other comic I was randomly reading. That was last night….now I’ve read through the entirety of Missing Monday’s archives (please make some more of that super fast!) and also all of Littlest Elle’s archives. Erstwhile is on my list for hitting next.
I was wondering if you might consider becoming a part topwebcomics.com? I track nearly all of the comics I actively read through that site, and I find tracking comics not a part of that site becomes rather difficult.
Missing Monday would make a fine addition to their listings–there is not enough non-straight main character webcomicing going on out there, at least not good ones. You’ve created an interesting and intriguing world for Monday to visit, and I can’t wait to see where she lives the rest of the time.
Topwebcomics.com hosts hundreds of webcomics, and gets ALOT of reader traffic. Surely it would be good for your reader levels, and I think it would be a nice thing to do for the general comic-reading public, to give them all the chance to be exposed to your work.
Thanks for taking the time to read my comment! I’ve enjoyed watching your work progess and grow, throughout your archives. It’s always one of the main pleasures of reading through a new artist’s work, from oldest to newest. Keep up the good stuff, and thanks for the comics!
Thanks, I’m glad to hear you’re enjoying my work! My next Erstwhile fairytale starts up in August, so if you haven’t started the archives yet, that is a good time to jump in ;) And Missing Monday is my top priority comic right now, so there will definitely be more (slow and steady, but I’ll get there!).
I’ll have to look into TWC. I’m aware of it, but I wasn’t sure if people used it to keep tabs on comics other than the top100. I’ll look into it, thank you for the suggestion :)
Eeeeekk I’m so excited!! :D I totally thought you must have decided I was some spambot or something icky like that.
You might contact the author of this comic, it’s called Best In Black. Here is a link: http://best-in-black.com/
She is new to comic business, and hadn’t heard of topwebcomics.com or any of that stuff. I have no idea what it takes for a comic author to join up; I’m just a reader.
But scrabblenights (author of best in black) joined up not too long ago, so perhaps she could tell you more about it, from a fellow comic creator’s point of view. She’s all collecting twitter followers, so you guys could trade info, maybe?
As far as keeping track of comics through twc, here’s what I do: Any comic that I’m interested in, no matter the ranking, I add to my ‘favorites’ list. I only follow some of those at any given time, cause it helps sometimes to let them build up an archive before you jump back in. Or maybe the creators have put the comic on hiatus, and I don’t want to lose track of it while waiting for it to come back.
Most of the time, I only view my favs page when I go to twc. But I also use it to pick up new comics whenever I’m in the mood. I have comics on my favs list, that are ranked in the area of 1500th place. I don’t care what the rankings are, I only care what I like–and alot of other readers do that, too!
Anyways, thank you so much for all the great comics you share with us, and for responding to my comments. (:
Aaaaand I talk too much. o.o Myeah….I’m working on that one.
I stand corrected, the lowest ranked comic on my twc favs list is ranked 6457. Guess I pay even less attention to rankings than I thought I did.
